And the steward said within himself: What shall I do, because my lord taketh away from me the stewardship? To dig I am not able; to beg I am ashamed.


Saying: There was a judge in a certain city, who feared not God, nor regarded man.


And there was a certain widow in that city, and she came to him, saying: Avenge me of my adversary.


Then the lord of the vineyard said: What shall I do? I will send my beloved son: it may be, when they see him, they will reverence him.


Moreover we have had fathers of our flesh, for instructors, and we reverenced them: shall we not much more obey the Father of spirits, and live?


So she wept before him the seven days of the feast: and at length on the seventh day as she was troublesome to him, he expounded it. And she immediately told her countrymen.
