Behold I send you as sheep in the midst of wolves. Be ye therefore wise as serpents and simple as doves.
Neither do they put new wine into old bottles. Otherwise the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish. But new wine they put into new bottles: and both are preserved.
And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: otherwise the wine will burst the bottles, and both the wine will be spilled, and the bottles will be lost. But new wine must be put into new bottles.
And the lord commended the unjust steward, forasmuch as he had done wisely: for the children of this world are wiser in their generation than the children of light.
Behold, these loaves we took hot, when we set out from our houses to come to you: now they are become dry, and broken in pieces, by being exceeding old.
