And he sent messengers before him to Esau his brother to the land of Seir to the country of Edom:
can number thy wrath? So make thy right hand known: and men learned in heart, in wisdom.
Turn you, and come to the mountain of the Amorrhites, and to the other places that are next to it: the plains and the hills and the vales towards the south, and by the sea shore: the land of the Chanaanites, and of Libanus, as far as the great river Euphrates.
And departing from thence we came into the wilderness that leadeth to the Red Sea, as the Lord had spoken to me: and we compassed mount Seir a long time.
And he said: The Lord came from Sinai, and from Seir he rose up to us. He hath appeared from mount Pharan, and with him thousands of saints. In his right hand a fiery law.
And he shall deliver their kings into thy hands, and thou shalt destroy their names from under Heaven. No man shall be able to resist thee, until thou destroy them.
From the desert and from Libanus unto the great river Euphrates: all the land of the Hethites unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun shall be your border.
To the Chanaanites also on the ease and on the west, and the Amorrhite, and the Hethite, and the Pherezite, and the Jebusite in the mountains: to the Hevite also who dwelt at the foot of Hermon in the land of Maspha.
And his confines. The country also of Libanus towards the east from Baalgad under mount Hermon to the entering into Emath.
