And the sons of Levi took the ark of God, as Moses had commanded according to the word of the Lord, upon their shoulders, with the staves.
Then David said: No one ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites, whom the Lord hath chosen to carry it, and to minister unto himself for ever.

Again he sent other servants, saying: Tell them that were invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my beeves and fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come ye to the marriage.
And began to proclaim: When you shall see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, and the priests of the race of Levi carrying it, rise you up also, and follow them as they go before.
