And Absalom would answer him: "Your words seem good and just to me. But there is no one appointed by the king to hear you." And Absalom would say:
You lift me up from the gates of death, so that I may announce all your praises at the gates of the daughter of Zion.
Therefore, they shall eat the fruit of their way, and they shall have their fill of their own counsels.
It is not in the power of a man to prohibit the spirit, nor does he have authority over the day of death, nor is he permitted to rest when war breaks out, and neither will impiety save the impious.
