For I am ready to honor you, and whatever you would want, I shall give to you. Come and curse this people."


And he said to Balaam: "I sent messengers to call you. Why did you not come to me immediately? Was it because I am not able to pay the cost for your arrival?"


And Balak, being angry against Balaam, clapped his hands together and said: "I called you to curse my enemies, and, to the contrary, you have blessed them three times.


Balaam responded to Balak: "Did I not say to your messengers, whom you sent to me:


"Let your money be with you in perdition, for you have supposed that a gift of God might be possessed by money.


Yet truly, I consider everything to be a loss, because of the preeminent knowledge of Jesus Christ, my Lord, for whose sake I have suffered the loss of everything, considering it all to be like dung, so that I may gain Christ,


Be cautious for yourselves, lest you lose what you have accomplished, and so that, instead, you may receive a full reward.
