But the leaders of the priests and the elders persuaded the people, so that they would ask for Barabbas, and so that Jesus would perish.
For he knew that it was out of envy that the leaders of the priests had betrayed him.
But Pilate, responding again, said to them: "Then what do you want me to do with the king of the Jews?"
Then they all cried out repeatedly, saying: "Not this one, but Barabbas." Now Barabbas was a robber.
Then you denied the Holy and Just One, and petitioned for a murderous man to be given to you.
