And he said unto her, Because I spake unto Naboth the Jezreelite, and said unto him, Give me thy vineyard for money; or else, if it please thee, I will give thee another vineyard for it: and he answered, I will not give thee my vineyard.


For vexation killeth the foolish man, And jealousy slayeth the silly one.


The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; He shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: The desire of the wicked shall perish.


Let my heart be perfect in thy statutes, That I be not put to shame. כ KAPH.


A worthy woman is the crown of her husband; But she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.


A glad heart maketh a cheerful countenance; But by sorrow of heart the spirit is broken.


A cheerful heart is a good medicine; But a broken spirit drieth up the bones.


It will be health to thy navel, And marrow to thy bones.


Keep thy heart with all diligence; For out of it are the issues of life.


I heard, and my body trembled, My lips quivered at the voice; Rottenness entereth into my bones, and I tremble in my place; Because I must wait quietly for the day of trouble, For the coming up of the people that invadeth us.


And the patriarchs, moved with jealousy against Joseph, sold him into Egypt: and God was with him,


being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity; whisperers,


For God gave us not a spirit of fearfulness; but of power and love and discipline.


Or think ye that the scripture speaketh in vain? Doth the spirit which he made to dwell in us long unto envying?
