When the house was built, it was with stone prepared at the quarry, so that neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron was heard in the house while it was being built.


So he built the house and finished it, and he made the ceiling of the house of beams and planks of cedar.


Then Hezekiah commanded them to prepare chambers in the house of the Lord, and they prepared them.


“Go to the house of the Rechabites and speak with them and bring them to the house of the Lord, into one of the chambers; then offer them wine to drink.”


For they were in three stories, and they had no pillars like the pillars of the courts. Thus the upper chambers were set back from the ground more than the lower and the middle ones.
