it seemed best to us, having come to be of the same mind, to send men being chosen to you, with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,


and delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favor and wisdom before Pharaoh, king of Egypt; and he made him ruler over Egypt and all his house.

Or do you despise the riches of His kindness, and forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?


For to one is given a word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another a word of knowledge according to the same Spirit,


which we also speak, not in words taught in human wisdom, but in words taught by the Holy Spirit, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.


According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise architect I have laid the foundation, but another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it.


how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery, just as I wrote before briefly,


However, because of this I was shown mercy, so that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all longsuffering, as a pattern for those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.


If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it shall be given to him.


But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.


who formerly disobeyed, when the longsuffering of God was waiting in the days of Noah, when the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water;


to remember the words having been previously spoken by the holy prophets, and the commandment of your apostles of the Lord and Savior;


The Lord does not delay concerning His promise, as some reckon slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
