Psalm 22:16 - The Passion Translation

16 They have pierced my hands and my feet. Like a pack of wild dogs they tear at me, swirling around me with their hatred. A band of evil men surrounds me.

God, my God! Why would you abandon me now?


Give me back my life. Save me from this violent death. Save my precious one and only from the power of these dogs!


Here they come again— prowling, growling like a pack of stray dogs in the city.


After dark they came to spy, sneaking around the city, snarling, prowling like a pack of stray dogs in the night—


God, look at how these arrogant ones have defied me. Like a vicious band of violent men, they have tried to kill me. They wouldn’t worry for a moment that they were sinning against you!

Then, looking into Thomas’ eyes, he said, “Put your finger here in the wounds of my hands. Here—put your hand into my wounded side and see for yourself. Thomas, don’t give in to your doubts any longer, just believe!”
