Matthew 27:52
13 Marejeleo ya Msalaba

It is the gloom of death! He will swallow it up in victory forever! And God, Lord Yahweh, will wipe away every tear from every face. He will remove every trace of disgrace that his people have suffered throughout the world, for the Lord Yahweh has promised it!

But your dead will live again! Their bodies will rise from the dead! It’s time to awaken and sing for joy, you dwellers in the dust! As the glistening, radiant dew refreshes the earth, so the Lord will awaken those dwelling among the dead.

“Multitudes of those who are sleeping in the Land of Dust will awaken, some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting disgrace.

Then Jesus added, “Lazarus, our friend, has just fallen asleep. It’s time that I go and awaken him.”

He crumpled to his knees and shouted in a loud voice, “Our Lord, don’t hold this sin against them.” And then he died.

This insensitivity is why many of you are weak, chronically ill, and some even dying.

But the truth is, Christ is risen from the dead, as the firstfruit of a great resurrection harvest of those who have died.

Listen, and I will tell you a divine mystery: not all of us will die, but we will all be transformed.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, we also believe that God will bring with Jesus those who died while believing in him.

He gave his life for us so that we may share in resurrection life in union with him—whether we’re awake or asleep.
