Numbers 21:5
19 Marejeleo ya Msalaba

O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my offences are not hidden from thee:

And they said to Moses: Perhaps there were no graves in Egypt: therefore thou hast brought us to die in the wilderness. Why wouldst thou do this, to lead us out of Egypt?

And the people murmured against Moses, saying: What shall we drink?

And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another: Manhu! which signifieth: What is this! For they knew not what it was. And Moses said to them: This is the bread, which the Lord hath given you to eat.

And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed white, and the taste thereof like to flour with honey.

A soul that is full shall tread upon the honeycomb: and a soul that is hungry shall take even bitter for sweet.

But their children provoked me, they walked not in my commandments nor observed my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall live in them: and they violated my sabbaths. And I threatened to pour out my indignation upon them and to accomplish my wrath in them in the desert.

But even for a month of days, till it come out at your nostrils, and become loathsome to you. Because you have cast off the Lord, who is in the midst of you, and have wept before him, saying: Why came we out of Egypt?

The following day all the multitude of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron, saying: You have killed the people of the Lord.

And the children of Israel said to Moses: Behold we are consumed, we all perish.

Neither let us tempt Christ: as some of them tempted, and perished by the serpents.
