And said: I beseech you, my lords, turn in to the house of your servant, and lodge there: wash your feet, and in the morning you shall go on your way. And they said: No, but we will abide in the street.


And he said to him: Let me go, for it is break of day. He answered. I will not let thee go except thou bless me.


Who alone spreadeth out the heavens: and walketh upon the waves of the sea.


Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.


Shall they utter, and speak iniquity: shall all speak who work injustice?


And now the morning watch was come, and, behold, the Lord, looking upon the Egyptian army through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, slew their host.


O poor little one, tossed with tempest, without all comfort: behold, I will lay thy stones in order: and will lay thy foundations with sapphires,


But the boat in the midst of the sea was tossed with the waves: for the wind was contrary.


But know this ye, that if the goodman of the house knew at what hour the thief would come, he would certainly watch, and would not suffer his house to be broken open.


Watch ye therefore, (for you know not when the lord of the house cometh: at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning,)


And when it was late, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and himself alone on the land.


But they seeing him walking upon the sea, thought it was an apparition, and they cried out.


And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.


And they drew night to the town, whither they were going: and he made as though he would go farther.


Who are born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.


And it came to pass, when the morrow was come that Saul put the people in three companies. And he came into the midst of the camp in the morning watch; and he slew the Ammonites until the day grew hot. And the rest were scattered, so that two of them were not left together.
