After this there arose a war at Gazer against the Philistines: in which Sabachai the Husathite slew Saphai of the race of Raphaim, and humbled them.


And his daughter was Sara, who built Beth-horon, the nether and the upper, and Ozensara.


And their possessions and habitations were Bethel with her daughters, and eastward Noran, and westward Gazer and her daughters, Sichem also with her daughters, as far as Asa with her daughters.


And he built Beth-horon the upper, and Beth-horon the nether, walled cities with gates and bars and locks;


And the west side shall begin from the great sea: and the same shall be the end thereof.


At that time Horam, king of Gazer, came up to succour Lachis: and Josue slew him with all his people, so as to leave none alive.


And passing along southward by Luza (the same is Bethel): and it goeth down into Ataroth-addar to the mountain that is on the south of the nether Beth-horon.


And another went by the way of Beth-horon; and the third turned to the way of the border, above the valley of Seboim towards the desert.
