When the sun went down, and it was dark, a smoking furnace and a flaming torch appeared and passed between the pieces.


He looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and saw that the smoke of the land went up as the smoke of a furnace.


All of Mount Sinai smoked, because YHWH descended on it in fire; and its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly.


Howl, gate! Cry, city! You are melted away, Philistia, all of you; for smoke comes out of the north, and there is no straggler in his ranks.


Whoever doesn’t fall down and worship will be immediately thrown into the middle of a burning fiery furnace.”


The earth quakes before them. The heavens tremble. The sun and the moon are darkened, and the stars withdraw their shining.


A day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness. As the dawn spreading on the mountains, a great and strong people; there has never been the like, neither will there be any more after them, even to the years of many generations.


I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: blood, fire, and pillars of smoke.

The smoke of their torture ascends for ever and ever. They have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and its image or anyone who receives the mark of its name.

They have over them as king the angel of the Abyss. His name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek, he has the name Apollyon.


This is how I saw the horses and those who sat on them in the vision: They had breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfurous yellow, and the horses’ heads were like lions’ heads. Out of their mouths proceed fire, smoke, and sulfur.
