I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to you and to your offspring after you.


Y’all humiliate the plans of the poor, because YHWH is their shelter.


I cried to you, YHWH. I said, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.”


Listen to my cry, for I am in desperate need. Deliver me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me.


YHWH is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, my God is my boulder where I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.


I called to YHWH, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies.


My God, I have trusted in you. Don’t let me be shamed. Don’t let my enemies triumph over me.


My times are in your hand. Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who persecute me.


Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my exceeding joy. I will praise you on the harp, God, my God.


God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.


Therefore we will not be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains topple into the soul of the seas;


For this God is our God forever and ever. Hᴇ will be our guide even to death.


For you, God, have heard my vows. You have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.


Be to me a rock of refuge to which I may always go. Give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.


Because you have made YHWH your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place,


the name of YHWH is a strong tower: the righteous run to him, and are safe.


Indeed, God is my salvation. I will trust, and will not be afraid. For Y’H, YHWH, is my strength and song, and ʜᴇ has become my salvation.”


“At that time,” says YHWH, “I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they will be my people.”


Hᴇ is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for all are alive to him.”


Instead, they aspire toward a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for ʜᴇ has prepared a city for them.
