These were the potters, and the inhabitants of Netaim and Gederah; they lived there with the king for his work.


When Israel came out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of foreign language,


where the tribes go up, even YHWH’s tribes, according to an ordinance for Israel, to give thanks to the name of YHWH.


while y’all lie down among the sheep, the wings of a dove sheathed with silver, her feathers with shining gold.


and they made their lives bitter with hard service in mortar and in brick, and in all kinds of service in the field, all their service, in which they ruthlessly made them serve.


Therefore you are to tell the children of Israel, ‘I am YHWH, and I will bring y’all out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rescue y’all from their bondage. I will redeem y’all with an outstretched arm, and with great acts of judgment.


It will happen in that day that his burden will depart from off your shoulder, and his yoke from off your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.


For you have broken the yoke of his burden, the staff of his shoulder, and the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian.


Take my yoke upon y’all and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and y’all will find rest for your* souls.
