Psalm 74:1

I will cast off the remnant of my inheritance and deliver them into the hands of their enemies. They will become a prey and a plunder to all their enemies,


Why, YHWH, do you stand far off? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?


Y’all must know that YHWH is God. It is ʜᴇ who has made us, and we are ʜɪꜱ. We are ʜɪꜱ people, the sheep of ʜɪꜱ pasture.


Smoke ascended from ʜɪꜱ nostrils. A devouring fire came from ʜɪꜱ mouth, and coals were kindled by it.


Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I will still praise ʜɪᴍ, the saving help of my countenance, and my God.


I will ask God, my rock, “Why have you forgotten me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?”


But now you rejected us, and brought us to dishonor, and don’t go out with our armies.


The Mighty God, YHWH, speaks, and calls the earth from sunrise to sunset.


God, you have rejected us. You have broken us down. You have been angry. Restore us, again.


Haven’t you, God, rejected us? You don’t go out with our armies, God.


“Will the Lord reject us forever? Will ʜᴇ be favorable no more?


Has ʜɪꜱ lovingkindness vanished forever? Does ʜɪꜱ promise fail for generations?


Y’all listen to my teaching, my people. Turn your ears to the words of my mouth.


So we, your people and sheep of your pasture, will give you thanks forever. We will praise you forever, to all generations.


How long, YHWH? Will you be angry forever? Will your jealousy burn like fire?


You have fed them with the bread of tears, and given them tears to drink in large measure.


Won’t you revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?


for ʜᴇ is our God. We are the people of ʜɪꜱ pasture, and the sheep in ʜɪꜱ care. Today, if only y’all would hear ʜɪꜱ voice!


Moses begged YHWH his God, and said, “YHWH, why does your wrath burn hot against your people, that you have brought out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand?


But now, YHWH, you are our Father. We are the clay and you our potter. We all are the work of your hand.


“Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture!” says YHWH.


YHWH says: “If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, then I will also cast off all the offspring of Israel for all that they have done,” says YHWH.


But you have rejected-rejected us. You are very angry against us.


Y’all my sheep, the human sheep of my pasture, I am y’all’s God,’ says Lord YHWH.”


“As I live,” says Lord YHWH, “surely because my sheep became a prey, and my sheep became food to all the animals of the field, because there was no shepherd, and my shepherds didn’t search for my sheep, but the shepherds fed themselves, and didn’t feed my sheep,


“Don’t be afraid, little flock, for y’all’s Father delights to give y’all the empire.


YHWH will not pardon him, but then YHWH’s anger and his jealousy will smoke against that man, and all the curse that is written in this book will fall on him, and YHWH will blot out his name from under the sky.
