Hᴇ takes away understanding from the chiefs of the people of the earth, and causes them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way.


In arrogance, the wicked hunt down the weak. They are caught in the schemes that they devise.


His mouth is full of cursing, deceit, and oppression. Under his tongue is mischief and iniquity.


Pay back to our neighbors seven times into their bosom their reproach with which they have reproached you, Lord.


The righteousness of the upright will deliver them, but the unfaithful will be trapped by evil desires.


An evil man is trapped by sinfulness of lips, but the righteous will escape from trouble.


A fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are a snare to his soul.


you are trapped by the words of your mouth; you are ensnared with the words of your mouth.


the lips of those that rose up against me, and their plots against me all day long.


But I will leave a few men of them from the sword, from the famine, and from the pestilence, that they may declare all their abominations among the nations where they come. Then they will know that I am YHWH.’”


There is cursing, lying, murder, stealing, and committing adultery; they break boundaries, and bloodshed causes bloodshed.

All the people answered, “His blood will be on us and on our children!”


and said, “Sir, we remember that while he was still alive that deceiver said: ‘After three days I will rise again.’


But they kept insisting, “He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, starting in Galilee all the way here.”
