At evening, David arose from his bed and walked on the roof of the king’s house. From the roof, he saw a woman bathing, and the woman was very beautiful to look at.


Don’t cover their iniquity. Don’t let their sin be blotted out from before you; for they have insulted the builders.”


Hᴇ remembered for them ʜɪꜱ covenant, and repented according to the multitude of ʜɪꜱ lovingkindnesses.


Our ancestors didn’t appreciate your miraculous works in Egypt. They didn’t remember the multitude of your lovingkindnesses, Instead the rebelled at the sea, the Red Sea.


But deal with me, YHWH the Lord, for your name’s sake, because your lovingkindness is good, deliver me;


Deal with your servant according to your lovingkindness. Teach me your statutes.


YHWH is good to all. Hɪꜱ tender mercies are over all ʜɪꜱ works.


Answer me when I call, my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress. Have mercy on me and hear my prayer.


Don’t withhold your tender mercies from me, YHWH. Let your lovingkindness and your truth continually preserve me.


But I, by the abundance of your lovingkindness, will come into your house. I will bow toward your holy temple in reverence of you.


Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all of my iniquities.


But as for me, my prayer is to you, YHWH, in an acceptable time. God, in the abundance of your lovingkindness, answer me in the truth of your salvation.


Answer me, YHWH, for your lovingkindness is good. According to the multitude of your tender mercies, turn to me.


Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has ʜᴇ, in anger, withheld ʜɪꜱ compassion?” Selah.


I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake; and I will not remember your sins.


I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions, and, as a cloud, your sins. Return to me, for I have redeemed you.


Look down from heaven, and see from the habitation of your holiness and of your glory. Where are your zeal and your mighty acts? The yearning of your heart and your compassion is restrained toward me.


I will tell of the lovingkindnesses of YHWH and the praises of YHWH, according to all that YHWH has given to us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he has given to them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses.


Yet, YHWH, you know all their plots to kill me. Don’t forgive their iniquity. Don’t blot out their sin from your sight, Let them be overthrown before you. Deal with them in the time of your anger.


For though he causes grief, yet he will have compassion according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses.


My God, turn your ear and hear. Open your eyes and see our desolations, and the city which is called by your name; for we do not present our petitions before you for our righteousness, but for your great mercies’ sake.


The Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against ʜɪᴍ.


“Therefore, y’all must repent and turn back, so that your* sins may be wiped out, so that times of refreshing may come from the face of the Lord,


wiping out the certificate of debt against us. He has taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross.
