Then David arose, and all the people who were with him, and they passed over the Jordan. By the morning light there lacked not one of them who had not gone over the Jordan.


When David had come to Mahanaim, Shobi the son of Nahash of Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and Machir the son of Ammiel of Lodebar, and Barzillai the Gileadite of Rogelim,


like the dew of Hermon, that comes down on the hills of Zion; for there YHWH gives the blessing, even life forever more.


My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning?


Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my exceeding joy. I will praise you on the harp, God, my God.


Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I will still praise ʜɪᴍ: my Savior, my helper, and my God.


From the end of the earth, I will call to you when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
