Psalm 17:3

You, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind; for YHWH searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.


I know also, my God, that you try the heart and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things. Now I have seen with joy your people, who are present here, offer willingly to you.


But ʜᴇ knows the way that I take. When ʜᴇ has tried me, I will come out like gold.


The murderer rises with the light. He kills the poor and needy. In the night he is like a thief.


YHWH examines the righteous, but ʜɪꜱ soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence.


I have sworn, and have confirmed it, that I will obey your righteous ordinances.


YHWH, you have searched me, and you know me.


Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts.


I will bless YHWH, who counsels me. Yes, even at night my mind instructs me.


Examine me, YHWH, and prove me. Try my heart and my mind.


I said, “I will watch my ways, so that I don’t sin with my tongue. I will keep my mouth with a bridle while the wicked is before me.”


For you, God, have tested us. You have refined us, as silver is refined.


if I have repaid evil to one who was at peace with me or helped my enemy in vain,


The one who guards their mouth guards their soul. But those who opens their mouth wide come to ruin.


But you, YHWH, know me. You see me, and test my heart toward you. Pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter.


In those days and in that time,” says YHWH, “search will be made for the iniquity of Israel, but there will be none, also the sins of Judah, but they won’t be found, for I will pardon them whom I leave as a remnant.


For they have prepared their heart like an oven, while they lie in wait. Their anger smolders all night. In the morning it burns as a flaming fire.


Woe to those who devise iniquity and work evil on their beds! When the morning is light, they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand.


I will bring the third part into the fire, and will refine them like silver is refined, and will test them like gold is tested. They will call on my name, and I will hear them. I will say, ‘It is my people;’ and they will say, ‘YHWH is my God.’”


“But who can endure the day of ʜɪꜱ coming? And who will stand when ʜᴇ appears? For ʜᴇ is like a refiner’s fire, and like a launderer’s soap.


When he arrived and saw the grace of God, he rejoiced and exhorted them all to remain true to the Lord with purpose in their hearts.


During the night a vision appeared to Paul in which a Macedonian man was standing and begging him, saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”


For I know nothing against myself. Yet I am not justified by this. Rather the one who judges me is the Lord.


Now this is our boast: the testimony of our conscience is that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward y’all, with godly integrity and sincerity, not by fleshly wisdom but by the grace of God.


For we all stumble in many ways. Anyone who doesn’t stumble in what they say is a perfect person, able to bridle their entire body.


that the proof of y’all’s faith, which is more precious than gold that perishes, even though it is tested by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.


Look! Today you have seen with your eyes that YHWH delivered you into my hand in the cave. Some urged me to kill you, but I spared you. I said, ‘I will not stretch out my hand against my lord, for he is YHWH’s anointed.’


May YHWH judge between me and you, and may YHWH avenge me of you; but my hand will not be on you.


YHWH forbid that I should stretch out my hand against YHWH’s anointed; but now please take the spear that is at his head and the jar of water, and let’s go.”


YHWH will render to every man his righteousness and his faithfulness; because YHWH delivered you into my hand today, and I wouldn’t stretch out my hand against YHWH’s anointed.
