except that the Holy Spirit warns me that chains and afflictions wait for me in every city.


Then the commander came up and arrested him, and he ordered that he be bound with two chains. Then he asked who he was and what he had done.


It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.


Now I do this because of the gospel, that I may be a joint partaker of it.


Y’all are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by all humans,


I don’t say this in condemnation, since I have already said that y’all are in our hearts to die together and live together.


For in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision amounts to anything, but faith working through love.


For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of y’all ethnic groups—


I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, urge y’all to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you* were called,


for which I represent in chains, so that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.


Now I want y’all to know, siblings, that what has happened to me actually advanced the gospel.


It became evident to the whole palace guard and everyone else that my chains are for Christ,


and most of the siblings, having confidence in the Lord because of my imprisonment, dare all the more to speak the word of God without fear.


because of y’all’s partnership in the gospel from the first day until now,


But y’all know that he has proved himself. As a child serves a father, so he served with me in the gospel.


However y’all did well to share with me in my oppression.


All y’all Philippians already know that in the early days of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except y’all.


Yes, true partner, I ask you to help these women who have struggle together with me in the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.


I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand. Y’all remember my chains. Grace be with y’all.


praying together for us that God may open a door the word, and for us to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains,


Y’all are all children of light and children of the day. We don’t belong to the night or to the darkness.


So don’t be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner. Instead, join with me in suffering for the gospel by the power of God,


for which I am suffering to the point of being bound as a criminal. But the word of God is not bound!


whom I wanted to keep with me, so that he might serve me in your place during my imprisonment for the gospel.


Therefore, holy siblings, partakers of a heavenly calling, y’all must fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we confess as our Apostle and High Priest.


But inasmuch as y’all share in the suffering of Christ, y’all should rejoice so that at the revelation of his glory y’all may rejoice with exceeding joy.


Therefore, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ and as one who will share in the glory to be revealed, I exhort the elders among y’all:


As long as I am in this tabernacle, I consider it right to stir y’all up as a reminder,


We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the siblings. Anyone who doesn’t love remains in death.
