Your neck is like an ivory tower. Your eyes are like the pools in Heshbon by the gate of Bathrabbim. Your nose is like the tower of Lebanon which looks toward Damascus.


Your head crowns you like Mount Carmel. The locks of your hair are like purple tapestries. The king is held captive by its tresses.


The praise for Moab is no more. In Heshbon they have devised evil against her: ‘Y’all come! Let’s cut her off from being a nation.’ You, the city of Madmen, will be silenced. The sword will pursue you.


Moab is disgraced, for it has been shattered. Wail and cry out! Y’all must announce by the Arnon that Moab has been destroyed.
