Then Hazael king of Syria went up and fought against Gath, and took it; and Hazael set his face to go up to Jerusalem.


also the firstborn of our sons and of our livestock, as it is written in the law, and the firstborn of our herds and of our flocks, to bring to the house of our God, to the priests who minister in the house of our God;


Then he said to me, “The north rooms and the south rooms, which are opposite the separate place, are the holy rooms, where the priests who are near to YHWH will eat the most holy things. There they will lay the most holy things, with the meal offering, the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the place is holy.


They are to eat the meal offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering, and every devoted thing in Israel will be theirs.


“Why haven’t y’all eaten the sin offering in the sanctuary area? For it is most holy, and it was given to y’all to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before YHWH.


He must kill the male lamb in the place where they kill the sin offering and the burnt offering, in the place of the sanctuary; for as the sin offering is the priest’s, so is the trespass offering. It is most holy.


That which is left of the grain offering will be for Aaron and his sons. It is a most holy part of the offerings of YHWH made by fire.


But if a priest buys a soul, purchased by his money, he may eat of it, and those born in his house may eat of his food.


When the sun is down, he will become clean, and then he may eat of the holy things, because it is his food.


“‘When a ruler sins, and unwittingly does any one of all the things which YHWH his God has commanded not to be done, and is guilty,


“‘If anyone of the common people sins unwittingly, in doing any of the things which YHWH has commanded not to be done, and is guilty,


“‘If anyone sins, in that he hears a public adjuration to testify, he being a witness, whether he has seen or known, if he doesn’t report it, then he will bear his iniquity.


and is to bring their trespass offering to YHWH for the sin they sinned: a female from the flock, a lamb or a goat, for a sin offering. Then the priest is to make atonement for them concerning their sin.


It must not be baked with yeast. I have given it as their portion of my offerings made by fire. It is most holy, as are the sin offering and the trespass offering.


No sin offering, of which any of the blood is brought into the Tent of Meeting to make atonement in the Holy Place, is to be eaten. It must be burned with fire.


“‘This is the law of the trespass offering: It is most holy.


Every male among the priests may eat of it. It must be eaten in a holy place. It is most holy.


“‘As is the sin offering, so is the trespass offering; there is one law for them. The priest who makes atonement with them is to have it.


You are to eat of it like the most holy things. Every male may eat it. It is to be holy to you.


The priests and the Levites—the whole tribe of Levi—will have no portion nor inheritance with Israel. They will eat the offerings of YHWH made by fire and his portion.
