They are to be on Aaron and on his sons, when they go in to the Tent of Meeting, or when they come near to the altar to minister in the holy place, that they don’t bear iniquity, and die. This is to be a permanent statute to him and to his offspring after him.


Anyone who eats it will bear iniquity, because they have profaned the holy thing of YHWH, and that soul is to be cut off from their people.


“You must tell Aaron and his sons to separate themselves from the holy things of the children of Israel, which they make holy to me, and that they not profane my holy name. I am YHWH.


“By offering offer defiled food on my altar. “Y’all ask, ‘How have we defiled you?’” “By saying, ‘The table of YHWH is to be despised.’


Henceforth the children of Israel must not come near the Tent of Meeting, or they bear sin and die.


Y’all and y’all’s households may eat it anywhere. It is y’all’s compensation in return for y’all’s service in the Tent of Meeting.


YHWH spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,


Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks the Lord’s cup in a way unworthy of the Lord will be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord.


For those who eat and drink judge themselves if they eat and drink without discerning the body.
