39 This is to be a tassel for y’all too look at and remember all YHWH’s commandments, and for y’all do them and not prostitute yourselves by following y’all’s own heart and y’all’s own eyes.

He went up to the altar which he had made in Bethel on the fifteenth day in the eighth month, even in the month which he had devised of his own heart; and he ordained a feast for the children of Israel, and went up to the altar to burn incense.


if my step has turned out of the way, if my heart walked after my eyes, if any defilement has stuck to my hands,


Thus they were defiled with their works, and prostituted themselves in their deeds.


For look! Those who are far from you will perish. You have destroyed all those who are unfaithful to you.


This will be for a sign to you on your hand, and for a memorial between your eyes, that YHWH’s law may be in your mouth; for with a strong hand YHWH has brought you out of Egypt.


One who trusts in himself is a fool; but one who walks in wisdom is kept safe.


My son, don’t forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments,


Rejoice, young peron, in your youth, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth, and walk in the ways of your heart, and in the sight of your eyes; but know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.

Then y’all’s survivors will remember me in the nations where they are exiled, how I was crushed by their lustful hearts that have departed from me, and with their eyes that lust after their idols. Y’all must rebuke your* mother, rebuke her! For she is not my wife, and I am not her husband. Let her put away her prostitution from her face, and her adulteries from between her breasts.


When such a person hears the words of this curse, he bless himself in his heart, saying, “I will have peace, even though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart.” This will destroy the moist and the dry land.


Y’all must be careful not to forget the covenant of YHWH y’all’s God that ʜᴇ made with y’all, and make a idol in the form of anything which YHWH y’all’s God has forbidden for y’all.


then be careful not to forget YHWH, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.


Beware that you do not forget YHWH your God by not keeping ʜɪꜱ commandments, ʜɪꜱ ordinances, ʜɪꜱ his statutes, which I am commanding you today.


then your heart might be lifted up in pride and you forget YHWH your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.


Adulterous people, don’t y’all know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore, whoever wants to be a friend of the world makes themselves an enemy of God.
