YHWH struck the king, so that he was a leper to the day of his death, and lived in a separate house. Jotham, the king’s son, was over the household, judging the people of the land.


“But he has made me a byword of the people. They spit in my face.


They abhor me, they stand aloof from me, and don’t hesitate to spit in my face.


I gave my back to those who beat me, and my cheeks to those who plucked off the hair. I didn’t hide my face from shame and spitting.


If the bright spot is white in the skin of his body, and its appearance isn’t deeper than the skin, and its hair hasn’t turned white, then the priest is to isolate the infected person for seven days.


“He who is to be cleansed must wash his clothes, and shave off all his hair, and bathe himself in water; and he will be clean. After that he is to come into the camp, but must dwell outside his tent seven days.
