Then I beat them as small as the dust of the earth. I crushed them as the mire of the streets, and spread them abroad.


Let my adversaries be clothed with dishonor. Let them cover themselves with their own shame as with a robe.


Why should the nations say, “Where is their God?”


I grind them until they are dust in the wind. I pour them out like mud in the streets.


Let them be disappointed and confounded together who rejoice at my calamity. Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor who magnify themselves against me.


As with a sword in my bones, my adversaries reproach me, while they continually ask me, “Where is your God?”


My tears have been my food day and night, while people ask my all day long, “Where is your God?”


The righteous will rejoice when they sees the vengeance. They will wash their feet in the blood of the wicked,


Why should the nations say, “Where is their God?” Let it be known among the nations, before our eyes, that vengeance for your servants’ blood is being poured out.


The righteous will flourish like the palm tree. They will grow like a cedar in Lebanon.


YHWH, your hand is lifted up, yet they don’t see; but they will see your zeal for the people and be disappointed. Yes, fire will consume your adversaries.


“I have raised up one from the north, and he has come, from the rising of the sun, one who calls on my name, and he will come on rulers as upon mortar, and as the potter treads clay.


“For, I will surely make you small among the nations, and despised among men.


“I will repay Babylon and all the inhabitants of Chaldea for all the evil that they have done in Zion in y’all’s sight,” says YHWH.


“We are ashamed because we have heard reproach. Disgrace covers our faces, because strangers have come into the sanctuaries of the house of YHWH.”


They will also clothe themselves with sackcloth, and horror will cover them. Shame will be on all faces, and baldness on all their heads.


Now when y’all hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe, and all kinds of music if y’all are ready to fall down and worship the image that I have made, good. But if y’all don’t worship, y’all will be cast the same hour into the middle of a burning fiery furnace. What god who will deliver you from my hands?”


Let the priests, the ministers of YHWH, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, “Spare your people, YHWH, and don’t give your heritage to reproach, that the nations should rule over them. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where is their God?’”


For the violence done to your brother Jacob, shame will cover you, and you will be cut off forever.


But don’t look down on your brother in the day of his disaster, and don’t rejoice over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction. Don’t speak proudly in the day of distress.


Now many nations have assembled against you, that say, “Let her be defiled, and let our eye gloat over Zion.”


Don’t rejoice against me, my enemy. When I fall, I will arise. When I sit in darkness, YHWH will be a light to me.


YHWH has taken away your judgments. He has thrown out your enemy. The King of Israel, YHWH, is among you. You will not be afraid of evil any more.


They will be as mighty men, treading down muddy streets in the battle. They will fight, because YHWH is with them. The riders on horses will be confounded.


Your* eyes will see it, and y’all will say, “Great is YHWH, even beyond the border of Israel!”


Y’all will trample on the wicked, and they will be ashes under the soles of y’all’s feet on the day which I am preparing,” says YHWH Almighty.


He trusts in God. Let God deliver him now, if ʜᴇ delights in him, for he said, ‘I am the Son of God.’”


For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land will hear of it, and will surround us, and cut off our name from the earth. What will you do for your great name?”


“Rejoice over her, O heaven, saints, apostles, and prophets, for God has pronounced judgment on her for y’all.”
