Hᴇ has dispersed, ʜᴇ has given to the poor. Hɪꜱ righteousness endures forever. Hɪꜱ horn will be exalted with honor.


The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously.


The one who has pity on the poor lends to YHWH; ʜᴇ will reward them.


Many claim to be people of unfailing love, but who can find a faithful person?


Invest a in seven shares, or even eight, for you don’t know what disaster will be on the earth.


I will send him against a profane nation, and against the people who anger me I will give him a command to take the plunder and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.


Isn’t it to distribute your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor who are cast out to your house? When you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you not hide yourself from your own flesh?

Hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied correctly about y’all,


In the morning, ‘It will be stormy today, because the sky is red and threatening.’ Y’all know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but y’all can’t figure out the signs of the times!


But Jesus, perceiving their evil intentions, said, “Hypocrites! Why are y’all trying to trap me?


But they do all their deeds to be seen by humans. They make their phylacteries wide and the tassels of their garments long.


They love the place of honor at banquets, the best seats in the synagogues,


and will cut them in pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.


For truly I tell y’all, until heaven and earth pass away, not even the smallest letter or pen stroke will pass away from the law, until everything is accomplished.


“Moreover, when y’all fast, don’t be like the hypocrites with sullen faces. For they disfigure their faces so that humans will notice them fasting. Truly I tell y’all, they have received their reward.


But when you give to the poor, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,


“When y’all pray, y’all are not to be like the hypocrites, for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, so that they may be seen by humans. Truly, I tell y’all, they have received their reward.


You hypocrite! First remove the beam from your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck from your sibling’s eye.


and to get the best seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets.


He answered them, “Rightly did Isaiah prophesy about y’all hypocrites. As it is written, ‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.


But as for what is inside, y’all should give to those in need, and then everything will be clean to y’all.


Woe to y’all Pharisees! For y’all love the best seats in the synagogues and the respectful greetings in the marketplaces.


Y’all must sell your possessions and give to the poor. Y’all must make purses for yourselves that won’t wear out, an unfailing treasure in heaven where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.


Hypocrites! Y’all know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky, but how is it that y’all don’t know how to interpret the present time?


The Lord answered him, “Hypocrites! Wouldn’t each one of y’all untie your ox or donkey from the stall on the Sabbath and lead it to water?


“Y’all must beware of the scribes who like to walk in flowing robes, and who love greetings in the marketplaces, the best seats in the synagogues, and the places of honor at banquets.


“But woe to y’all who are rich! For y’all have received y’all’s comfort.


How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me remove the speck from your eye,’ when you yourself don’t see the log in your own eye? You hypocrite! First remove the log from your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck in your brother’s eye.


Some thought that because Judas had the money box, Jesus was saying to him, “Buy what things we need for the feast,” or that he should give something to the poor.


I do not accept glory from humans.


How can y’all believe when y’all receive glory from one another, and y’all don’t seek the glory that comes from the only God?


The one who speaks on their own seeks their own glory, but the one who seeks the glory of the one who sent them is true, and no unrighteousness is in that person.


He and his entire household were devout and feared God, doing many charitable deeds for the people and praying to God continually.

But y’all must not forget to do good and share in fellowship, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.


If anyone speaks, let it be with the words of God. If anyone serves, let it be from the strength which God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.


Then he said, “I have sinned; yet please honor me now before the elders of my people and before Israel, and come back with me, that I may worship YHWH your God.”
