When Ahab heard those words, he tore his clothes, put sackcloth on his body, fasted, lay in sackcloth, and went about despondently.


and also for the innocent blood that he shed; for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, and YHWH would not pardon.


But y’all are forgers of lies. Y’all are all physicians of no value.


“I have heard many such things. You are all miserable comforters!


They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.


Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron at night and said, “Y’all get up and get out from among my people! Y’all and the children of Israel—go and serve YHWH, as y’all have requested!


Pharaoh sent and called for Moses and Aaron, and said to them, “I have sinned this time. YHWH is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.


A is praised according to their wisdom, but the one with a warped mind will be despised.


But know y’all must know-know that if y’all put me to death, y’all will bring innocent blood on yourselves, on this city, and on its inhabitants. For in truth YHWH has sent me to y’all to speak all these words in y’all’s ears.”


So then they cried out to YHWH, “Please, YHWH, we beg you, don’t let us die for this man’s life, and don’t charge us with innocent blood. For you, YHWH, have done as you have pleased.”


While he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent a message to him: “Have nothing to do with that righteous man, for I have suffered many things today in a dream because of him.”


When the centurion and those who were with him watching Jesus saw the earthquake and the things that were done, they were terrified and said, “Truly this was the Son of God!”


A third time, he said to them, “Why? What wrong has this man done? I have found in him no grounds for the death penalty. Therefore, I will have him punished and then release him.”


Surely we are punished justly, getting what we deserve for our actions, but this man has done nothing wrong.”


When the centurion saw what had happened, he glorified God, saying, “Certainly this was a righteous man.”


The Jews answered him, “We have a law, and by our law he must die, because he claimed to be the Son of God.”


Though they found no cause for death, they still asked Pilate to have him executed.


Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those under the law, so that every mouth may be closed, and all the world would become accountable to God.


through the hypocrisy of liars, whose consciences have been seared,


They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny ʜɪᴍ. They are detestable, disobedient, and unfit for any good work.


For such a high priest was fitting for us: holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.


but with precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or spot.


unlike Cain, who was from the evil one and killed his brother. Why did he kill him? Because his deeds were evil, and his brother’s were righteous.


The earth dwellers will rejoice over them, and they will be glad. They will give gifts to one another, because the two prophets tortured the earth dwellers.
