Don’t be among ones drinking too much wine, or those who gorge themselves on meat;


“Y’all come,” they say, “I will get wine, and we will fill ourselves with beer; and tomorrow will be as today, great beyond measure.”


Hear the word of YHWH, y’all who tremble at ʜɪꜱ word: “Your* brothers who hate y’all, who cast y’all out for my name’s sake, have said, ‘Let YHWH be glorified, that we may see y’all’s joy;’ but it is those who will be disappointed.


Y’all eat the fat. Y’all clothe yourself* with the wool. Y’all kill the fatlings, but y’all don’t feed the sheep.


YHWH says concerning the prophets who lead my people astray—for those who feed their teeth, they proclaim, “Peace!” and whoever doesn’t provide for their mouths, they prepare war against him:


“But that servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him one hundred denarii. He grabbed him and took him by the throat, saying, ‘Pay me what you owe!’


But if an evil slave says in their heart, ‘My master is staying away for a long time,’


the master of that servant will come in a day when they doesn’t expect it and in an hour when they don’t know it,


“Y’all beware of false prophets, who come to y’all in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.


and said to him, “All humans serve the excellent wine first and then the cheaper wine when the guests are drunk. But you have kept the excellent wine until now!”


For such people don’t serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly. By their smooth and flattering speech, they deceive the hearts of the innocent.


In fact, y’all even put up with someone who would enslave y’all, devour y’all, take advantage of y’all, put y’all down, or slap y’all in the face.


whose end is destruction, whose god is the belly, whose glory is in their shame, and who set their mind on earthly things.


not lording it over those entrusted to y’all, but being examples to the flock.


They are jagged rocks in y’all’s love feasts, feasting with y’all without fear, shepherding only themselves. They are clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn trees without fruit, twice dead and uprooted.


It was also given to the beast to make war with the saints and to conquer them, and it was given authority over every tribe, people, tongue, and ethnic group.


For they poured out the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink. They deserve this.”


I saw the woman was drunk on the blood of the saints and with the blood of the witnesses to Jesus. When I saw her, I marveled with great marvel.


Why do y’all kick at my sacrifice and at my offering, which I have commanded in my dwelling, and honor your sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the best of all the offerings of Israel my people?’
