When those hired first came, they expected to receive more. But they each also received a denarius.


saying, ‘These who were hired last have worked one hour, and yet you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the day and the scorching heat!’


For this might have been sold for more than three hundred denarii and given to the poor.” So they rebuked her sternly.


The Pharisees and scribes were complaining, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”


When the people saw this, they all began to complain, “He has gone in to be the guest of a man who is a sinner.”


But the Pharisees and their scribes complained to his disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with the tax collectors and sinners?”


Then the Jews began to grumble about him, because he said, “I am the bread which came down from heaven.”


But Jesus, knowing in himself that his disciples were grumbling about this, said to them, “Does this cause y’all to stumble?


But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy. They began to contradict the things Paul was saying and they vilified him.


forbidding us to speak to the ethnic groups so that they may be saved. Thus they always fill up their sins, but wrath has come on them to completion.


These are grumblers and complainers, following after their desires. Their mouths speak proud things, flattering people to gain advantage.
