David said, “What have I to do with y’all, sons of Zeruiah? Have y’all become my adversaries today? Should anyone be put to death today in Israel? Do I not know that I am king over Israel today?”


But he said to her, “You speak like one of the foolish women speak. Should we receive good at the hand of God, and not also receive evil?” In all this Job didn’t sin with his lips.


Let the righteous strike me, it is kindness; let him reprove me, it is like oil on the head; don’t let my head refuse it; Yet my prayer is always against evil deeds.


“‘You must not hate your sibling in your heart. You must rebuke-rebuke your neighbor, and not incur sin because of him.


But he answered her not a word. His disciples came and begged him, saying, “Send her away, because she keeps crying out after us.”


But he turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me, for you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on human concerns.”


Then Jesus said to him, “Get away from me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You are to worship the Lord [YHWH] your God, and serve only ʜɪᴍ.’”


Looking around at those who sat around him, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers!


When he had looked around at them in anger, grieved at the hardness of their hearts, he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was restored.


The Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he said to him, “Before the rooster crows today you will deny me three times.”


Jesus answered him, “It is written, ‘You are to worship the Lord [YHWH] your God, and you are to serve ʜɪᴍ only.’”


But Jesus turned and rebuked them,


you are to deliver such a person to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.


whose end is destruction, whose god is the belly, whose glory is in their shame, and who set their mind on earthly things.


Those who sin, reprove in the sight of everyone, so that the others may have fear.


That account is true. For this reason, you must rebuke them sharply, so that they will be sound in the faith,


Therefore, since Christ suffered in the flesh, y’all should arm yourselves* also with the same attitude, because the one who has suffered in the flesh has finished with sin,


Y’all must not love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in them.


All those I love, I rebuke and chasten. So be zealous and repent.
