Now all this has happened to fulfill what was said by the Lord through the prophet:


But then how would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen this way?”


At that moment Jesus said to the crowd, “Have y’all come out with swords and clubs to capture me like a robber? Every day I sat in the temple teaching, and you didn’t arrest me.


But all this has happened to fulfill the writings of the prophets.” Then all the disciples left him and fled.


He left that place and came into the region of Judea and beyond the Jordan. Again, crowds gathered around him, and as was his custom, he began to teach them.


They came again to Jerusalem, and as he was walking in the temple, the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders came to him,


Jesus was teaching in the temple, saying, “How is it that the scribes say that the Christ is the son of David?


Jesus answered them, “Have y’all come out with swords and clubs to capture me like a robber?


Then everyone left him and fled.


He was teaching daily in the temple, but the chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people were trying to destroy him.


For I tell y’all, that which is written must be completed in me: ‘He was counted among the transgressors.’ For what was written about me is reaching completion.”


It was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple, in Solomon’s Colonnade.


Jesus answered him, “I spoke openly to the world. I always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where all the Jews come together. I said nothing in secret.


Now on the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, let them come to me and drink!


Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”


Very early in the morning, he went to the temple again, and all the people came to him. He sat down and taught them.
