As he started out on his way, a man ran to him, knelt before him, and asked him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”


If anyone asks y’all, ‘Why are y’all doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it, and he will send it back here soon.’”


He sent two of his disciples and said to them, “Y’all go into the city, and there a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet y’all. Y’all follow him,


He will show y’all a large upper room furnished and ready. Y’all get ready for us there.”


and y’all tell the master of the house, ‘The Teacher asks you, “Where is the guest room in which I may eat the Passover with my disciples?”’


When she had said this, she went away and called Mary her sister, saying secretly, “The Teacher is here and is calling you.”


Y’all call me, ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord’ and y’all are right, for that is what I am.


Look! I am standing at the door and knocking. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, then I will come in and dine with them, and they with me.
