The disciples came and said to him, “Why do you speak to them in parables?”


Then Jesus left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds of the field.”


After six days, Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John his brother, and brought them up into a high mountain by themselves.


When they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples,


As he was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things happen? What is the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”


Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came near to him, saying, “Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we will ask.”


“Tell us, when will these things happen? What is the sign that these things are about to be fulfilled?”


He took Peter, James, and John with him, and began to be greatly troubled and distressed.


He didn’t speak to them without a parable; but privately he explained everything to his own disciples.


He allowed no one to follow him except Peter, James, and John the brother of James.


After six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John with him, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. He was transfigured in front of them.
