Jesus replied, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell into the hands of robbers, who stripped him, beat him, and then departed, leaving him half dead.


But I have a baptism to undergo, and how distressed I am until it is finished!


Then he took the twelve aside and said to them, “Look, we are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written in the prophets about the Son of Humanity will come to completion.


As the day approached when he would be taken up into heaven, he firmly set his face to go to Jerusalem.


Then Jesus said to Peter, “Put the sword back into its sheath. Should I not drink the cup that the Father has given me?”


fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.


Therefore, since Christ suffered in the flesh, y’all should arm yourselves* also with the same attitude, because the one who has suffered in the flesh has finished with sin,
