The man who touches them must be armed with iron and the staff of a spear. They will be burned-burned with fire in their place.”


This is the reward of my adversaries from YHWH, of those who speak evil against my soul.


You will break them with a rod of iron. You will dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.”


Y’all will see it, and y’all’s heart will rejoice, and y’all’s bones will flourish like the tender grass. YHWH’s hand will be known among ʜɪꜱ servants; and ʜᴇ will have indignation against ʜɪꜱ enemies.


A voice of tumult from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of YHWH that repays ʜɪꜱ enemies what they deserve.


YHWH is a jealous and avenging God. YHWH avenges and is full of wrath. YHWH takes vengeance on ʜɪꜱ adversaries, and ʜᴇ maintains wrath against ʜɪꜱ enemies.


But with an overflowing flood, ʜᴇ will make a full end of her place, and will pursue ʜɪꜱ enemies into darkness.


“The king was enraged! He sent his soldiers to destroy those murderers and burn down their city.


But his subjects hated him, and sent an envoy after him to say, ‘We don’t want this man to be king over us.’


He will come and destroy these farmers, and will give the vineyard to others.” When the people heard this, they said, “May that never be!”


because these are days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
