Hᴇ tends ʜɪꜱ flock like a shepherd. Hᴇ gather the lambs in ʜɪꜱ arm, and carries them against ʜɪꜱ chest. Hᴇ gently leads those who are nursing.


“Awake, sword, against my shepherd, and against the man who is close to me,” says YHWH Almighty. “Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered; and I will turn my hand against the little ones.


But so that we don’t offend them, go to the sea and throw out a hook. Take up the first fish that comes up, and when you open its mouth, you will find a four-drachma coin. Take that, and give it to them for me and you.”


See that y’all don’t despise one of these little ones. For I tell y’all that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.


In the same way, it is not the will of y’all’s Father in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.


The Son of Humanity will go just as it is written of him, but woe to that man through whom the Son of Humanity is betrayed! It would be more excellent for that man if he had not been born.”


“Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be more excellent for them if they were thrown into the sea with a millstone hung around their neck.

But I have used none of these things, and I don’t write these things that it may be done so in my case. In fact, it would be more excellent to die than allow anyone to make my boasting void.
