The righteous eat to the satisfaction of their soul, but the belly of the wicked goes hungry.


See therefore, I have stretched out my hand over you, and have diminished your portion, and delivered you to the will of those who hate you, the daughters of the Philistines, who are ashamed of your lewd way.


Not many days later, the younger son gathered all he had and traveled to a distant country. There he squandered his estate with wild living.


So he went and hired himself out one of the citizens of that country, who sent him into his fields to feed pigs.
