“Look, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Humanity will be delivered to the chief priests and scribes. They will condemn him to death,


The crowds were saying, “This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth in Galilee.”


But the people didn’t receive him, because he was determined to go to Jerusalem.


Consequently, Jesus no longer walked openly among the Jews. Instead, he departed from there into the country near the wilderness to a city called Ephraim. He stayed there with his disciples.


Jesus answered, “Aren’t there twelve hours of daylight? If a man walks in the day, he doesn’t stumble, because he sees the light of this world.


Then Jesus said to them, “Y’all are only going to have the light for a little while longer. Walk while y’all have the light, so that darkness doesn’t overtake y’all. Whoever walks in the darkness doesn’t know where they are going.


Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of ʜɪᴍ who sent me and to accomplish ʜɪꜱ work.


I must work the works of ʜɪᴍ who sent me while it is day. The night is coming, when no one can work.


how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who under the power of the devil, because God was with him.


For the residents of Jerusalem and their rulers didn’t know him, and by condemning him they fulfilled the sayings of the prophets that are read every Sabbath.
