Then Elijah said to the people, “I, even I only, am left as a prophet of YHWH; but Baal’s prophets are four hundred fifty men.


The Lord announced the word. The ones who proclaim it are a great company.


I will give y’all shepherds after my own heart, who will feed y’all with knowledge and understanding.


Woe to the worthless shepherd who leaves the flock! The sword will strike his arm and his right eye. His arm will be withered-withered, and his right eye will be blinded-blinded!”


Their buyers slaughter them and go unpunished. Those who sell them say, ‘Blessed be YHWH, for I am rich;’ and their own shepherds don’t pity them.


I will come down and talk with you there. I will take of the Spirit which is on you, and will put it on them. They will share the burden of the people with you, so that you don’t have carry it alone.


Moses said to him, “Are you jealous for my sake? I wish that all YHWH’s people were prophets, that YHWH would put his Spirit on them!”


“For the Empire of Heaven is like a human landowner who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard.


“It is like a man traveling to another country, having left his house and given authority to his slaves, each assigned their work, and commanded the doorkeeper to keep watch.


He said to them, “Y’all go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation.


They went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word by the signs that followed. Amen.]


Jesus called the Twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases,


Now those who had been scattered by the persecution that arose because of Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, speaking the word only to the Jews.


While they were serving the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Y’all must set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”


So being sent out by the Holy Spirit they went down to Seleucia, and from there they sailed to Cyprus.


Y’all are to keep watch over yourselves and all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made y’all overseers, to shepherd the church of God which ʜᴇ purchased with the blood of ʜɪꜱ own.


“He said to me, ‘Go! For I will send you far from here to the ethnic groups.’”


Now those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went.


God has placed in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of administration, and various kinds of tongues.


But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not futile. No, I worked more than all of them–yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.


Working together with ʜɪᴍ, we urge y’all not to receive the grace of God in vain.


For they all seek their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ.


But I thought it necessary to send y’all Epaphroditus, my sibling, fellow worker, fellow soldier, and your* messenger and minister of my needs,


because he almost died for the work of Christ, risking his life to supply what was lacking in y’all’s service toward me.


For this I work strenuously, striving according to his power which empowers me mightily.


Epaphras, who is one of y’all, a slave of Christ, greets y’all. He is always struggling for y’all in his prayers, that y’all may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.


For y’all remember, siblings, our labor and hardship. By working night and day and not burdening y’all, we preached the gospel of God to y’all.


Now we ask y’all, siblings, to acknowledge those who work diligently among y’all, who lead y’all in the Lord and who admonish y’all.


Finally, siblings, y’all pray for us that the word of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with y’all,


For to this end we both labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all humans, especially those who believe.


But you are to be sober-minded in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, and accomplish your deacon-work.


Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our sibling, To Philemon, our beloved friend and coworker,


But Christ is faithful as a Son over God’s house. We are ʜɪꜱ house, if we hold fast our confidence and the hope in which we boast.
