They said to me, “The remnant that remains from the exile there in the province are in great trouble and disgrace. The wall of Jerusalem is also broken down, and its gates have been burned with fire.”


“Please remember the word that you commanded your servant Moses, saying, ‘If y’all are unfaithful, I will scatter y’all among the nations.


“Hear, our God, for we are despised. Turn back their reproach on their own head. Give them up for a plunder in a land of captivity.


Remember, I beg you, that you have fashioned me as clay. Will you bring me into dust again?


Oh remember that my life is a breath. My eye will no more see good.


Consider my affliction, and deliver me, for I don’t forget your law.


Remember this, that the enemy has mocked you, YHWH. Foolish people have blasphemed your name.


Pay back to our neighbors seven times into their bosom their reproach with which they have reproached you, Lord.


We have become a reproach to our neighbors, a scoffing and derision to those who are around us.


Jerusalem, I have set watchmen on your walls. They will never be silent day nor night. There is no rest for y’all who remind YHWH.


YHWH, you know. Remember me, visit me, and avenge me of my persecutors. You are patient, so do not take me away. Know that I have suffered reproach for your sake.


“We are ashamed because we have heard reproach. Disgrace covers our faces, because strangers have come into the sanctuaries of the house of YHWH.”


All her people sigh. as they seek bread. They have given their pleasant things for food to refresh their soul. “Look, YHWH, and see, for I have become despised.”


“Look, YHWH; for I am in distress. My heart is troubled. My heart turns over within me, for I have rebelled-rebelled. Abroad, the sword bereaves. At home, it is like death.


Her filthiness was in her skirts. She didn’t remember her latter end. Therefore she has come down astoundingly. She has no comforter. “See, YHWH, my affliction; for the enemy has magnified himself.”


All that pass by clap their hands at you. They hiss and wag their head at the daughter of Jerusalem, saying, “Is this the city that men called ‘The perfection of beauty, the joy of the whole earth’?”


“Look, YHWH, and see to whom you have done thus! Should the women eat their offspring, the children that they held and bounced on their knees? Should the priest and the prophet be killed in the sanctuary of the Lord?


Remember my affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the bitterness.


until YHWH looks down, and sees from heaven.


You have heard their reproach, YHWH, and all their plans against me,


YHWH, I have heard of your fame. I stand in awe of your deeds, YHWH. Renew your work in the middle of the years. In the middle of the years make it known. In wrath, you remember mercy.


Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your empire.”
