It may be that YHWH will look on the wrong done to me, and that YHWH will repay me good for the cursing of me today.”


For YHWH saw the affliction of Israel, that it was very bitter for all, slave and free; and there was no helper for Israel.


Now therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who keeps covenant and lovingkindness, don’t let all the travail seem little before you that has come on us, on our kings, on our princes, on our priests, on our prophets, on our fathers, and on all your people, since the time of the kings of Assyria to this day.


Consider my affliction, and deliver me, for I don’t forget your law.


YHWH, don’t grant the desires of the wicked. Don’t let their evil plans succeed, or they will become proud. Selah.


Consider my affliction and my travail, And forgive all my sins.


They also gave me poison for my food. In my thirst, they gave me vinegar to drink.


I have said that I will bring y’all up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, to a land flowing with milk and honey.”’


YHWH said, “I have seen-seen the misery of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their slave drivers, for I know their sorrows.


The people believed, and when they heard that YHWH had visited the children of Israel, and that he had seen their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshiped.


Then I returned and saw all the oppressions that are done under the sun. Look, the tears of those who were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter.


For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen; because their tongue and their doings are against YHWH, to provoke the eyes of ʜɪꜱ glory.


Turn your ear, YHWH, and hear. Open your eyes, YHWH, and see. Hear all of the words of Sennacherib, who has sent to defy the living God.


Whom have you defied and blasphemed? Against whom have you exalted your voice and lifted up your eyes on high? Against the Holy One of Israel.


Because of your raging against me, and because your arrogance has come up into my ears, therefore I will put my hook in your nose and my bridle in your lips, and I will turn you back by the way by which you came.


It may be YHWH your God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master has sent to defy the living God, and will rebuke the words which YHWH your God has heard. Therefore lift up your prayer for the remnant that is left.’”


“Y’all are to speak kindly to Jerusalem and announce to her that her time of warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned, and that she has received from YHWH’s hand double for all her sins.”


You said, ‘I will be a princess forever,’ so that you didn’t lay these things to your heart, nor did you remember the results.


These two things have happened to you— who will grieve with you?— desolation and destruction, and famine and the sword. How can I comfort you?


“You afflicted one, tossed with storms and not comforted, I will set your stones in beautiful colors, and lay your foundations with sapphires.


I have seen your abominations, even your adulteries and your neighing, the lewdness of your prostitution, on the hills in the field. Woe to you, Jerusalem! You will not be made clean. How long will it yet be?”


No one will break bread for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead. No one will give them the cup of consolation to drink for their father or for their mother.


Also the blood of the souls of the innocent poor is found in your skirts. You didn’t find them breaking in, but it is because of all these things.


“Y’all must make him drunk, for he magnified himself against YHWH. Moab will wallow in his vomit, and he also will be in derision.


The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own authority; and my people love to have it so. What will y’all do at the end of it?


“Y’all call together the archers against Babylon, all those who bend the bow. Y’all are to encamp against her all around. Let none of it escape. Y’all must pay her back according to her work. According to all that she has done, do to her, for she has been proud against YHWH, against the Holy One of Israel.


Zion spreads out her hands. There is no one to comfort her. YHWH has commanded concerning Jacob, that those who are around him should be his adversaries. Jerusalem is among them as an unclean thing.


“They have heard that I sigh. There is no one to comfort me. All my enemies have heard of my trouble. They are glad that you have done it. You will bring the day that you have proclaimed, and they will be like me.


What should I testify to you? What should I liken to you, daughter of Jerusalem? What should I compare to you, that I may comfort you, virgin daughter of Zion? For your breach is as big as the sea. Who can heal you?


How the gold has become dim! The most pure gold has changed! The stones of the sanctuary are poured out at the head of every street.


Remember, YHWH, what has come on us. Look, and see our reproach.


“Therefore, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak tenderly to her.


This they will have for their pride, because they have reproached and magnified themselves against the people of YHWH Almighty.


Many of the Jews had joined the women around Martha and Mary to comfort them about their brother.


Then we cried to YHWH, the God of our fathers. YHWH heard our voice and saw our misery, toil, and oppression.


were it not that I feared the provocation of the enemy, lest their adversaries should judge wrongly, lest they should say, ‘Our hand is exalted; YHWH has not done all this.’”


Oh that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!


For the time has come for judgment to begin with the household of God. If it starts with us, what will happen to those who don’t obey the gospel of God?


She vowed a vow, and said, “YHWH Almighty, if you will indeed look at the affliction of your servant and remember me, and not forget your servant, but will give to your servant a boy, then I will give him to YHWH all the days of his life, and no razor will ever come on his head.”
