All the vessels of God’s house, great and small, and the treasures of the house of YHWH, and the treasures of the king and of his princes, all these he brought to Babylon.


On that day they read in the book of Moses in the hearing of the people; and it was found written in it that an Ammonite and a Moabite should not enter into the assembly of God forever,


Your holy people possessed it but a little while. Our adversaries have trodden down your sanctuary.


I will give your wealth and treasures as plunder without price, because of all your sins in all your borders.


Moreover I will give all the riches of this city, and all its gains, and all its precious things, yes, I will give all the treasures of the kings of Judah into the hand of their enemies. They will plunder them, seize them, and carry them to Babylon.


For YHWH Almighty says concerning the pillars, concerning the sea, concerning the bases, and concerning the rest of the vessels that are left in this city,


yes, YHWH Almighty, the God of Israel, says concerning the vessels that are left in the house of YHWH, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem:


Listen to fugitives and refugees from the land of Babylon, to declare in Zion the vengeance of YHWH our God, the vengeance of his temple.


“We are ashamed because we have heard reproach. Disgrace covers our faces, because strangers have come into the sanctuaries of the house of YHWH.”


He burned the house of YHWH, and the king’s house, and all the houses of Jerusalem. Every great house, he burned with fire.


Jerusalem remembers in the days of her affliction and of her miseries all her pleasant things that were from the days of old; when her people fell into the hand of the adversary, and no one helped her. The adversaries saw her. They mocked at her desolations.


When y’all brought in foreigners, uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary, to profane it—even my house—when y’all offer my bread, the fat and the blood. Y’all broken my covenant with all y’all’s abominations.


I will also turn my face from them, and they will profane my secret place. Robbers will enter into it, and profane it.


He said to them, “Y’all Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain. Go out!” They went out, and struck in the city.


“But when you see ‘the abomination of desolation,’ standing where it should not be, (let the reader understand) then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.


An Ammonite or a Moabite may not enter into assembly of YHWH, even to the tenth generation no one belonging to them may ever enter into assembly of YHWH,


because they didn’t meet y’all with bread and with water on the way when y’all came out of Egypt, and because they hired Balaam the son of Beor from Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse y’all.
