Joshua 8:31 - Y'all Version Bible

31 as Moses the servant of YHWH commanded the children of Israel, as it is written in the book of the law of Moses: an altar of uncut stones, on which no one had lifted up any iron. They offered burnt offerings on it to YHWH and sacrificed peace offerings.

but the children of the murderers he didn’t put to death, according to that which is written in the book of the law of Moses, as YHWH commanded, saying, “The fathers will not be put to death for the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers; but every man will die for his own sin.”


Hilkiah the high priest said to Shaphan the scribe, “I have found the book of the law in the house of YHWH.” Hilkiah delivered the book to Shaphan, and he read it.


But he didn’t put their children to death, but did according to that which is written in the law in the book of Moses, as YHWH commanded, saying, “The fathers will not die for the children, neither will the children die for the fathers. But every man must die for his own sin.”


They removed the burnt offerings, that they might give them according to the divisions of the fathers’ houses of the children of the people, to offer to YHWH, as it is written in the book of Moses. They did the same with the cattle.


They set the priests in their divisions and the Levites in their courses, for the service of God which is at Jerusalem, as it is written in the book of Moses.


On that day they read in the book of Moses in the hearing of the people; and it was found written in it that an Ammonite and a Moabite should not enter into the assembly of God forever,


Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law, took a burnt offering and sacrifices for God. Aaron came with all the elders of Israel, to eat bread with Moses’ father-in-law before God.


He sent young men of the children of Israel, who offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace offerings of cattle to YHWH.


If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his empire stand?


On the day when y’all pass over the Jordan to the land which YHWH your God is giving you, that you are to set up great stones and coat them with plaster.


You are to write clearly all the words of this law on the stones.”


This book of the law must not depart from your mouth, but you are to meditate on it day and night, so that you may observe to do all that is written in it; for then you are to make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
