Abraham gave up his spirit, and died at a good old age, an old man, and full of years, and was gathered to his people.


Now King David was old and advanced in years. Although they covered him with clothes, he couldn’t keep warm.


For David said, “YHWH, the God of Israel, has given rest to his people; and he dwells in Jerusalem forever.


Now the children of Israel after their number, the heads of fathers’ households and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and their officers who served the king in any matter of the divisions which came in and went out month by month throughout all the months of the year—of every division were twenty-four thousand.


So Abijah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in David’s city; and Asa his son reigned in his place. In his days, the land was quiet ten years.


Also he took away out of all the cities of Judah the high places and the sun images; and the kingdom was quiet before him.


So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet, for his God gave him rest all around.


Hᴇ stops wars to the end of the earth. Hᴇ breaks the bow and shatters the spear. Hᴇ burns the chariots with the fire.


As the livestock that go down into the valley, The Spirit of YHWH caused them to rest. So you led your people to make yourself a glorious name.


He said to them, “I am one hundred twenty years old today. I can no more go out and come in. YHWH has said to me, ‘You must not go over this Jordan.’


So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that YHWH spoke to Moses; and Joshua gave it for an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. Then the land had rest from war.


Now Joshua was old and well advanced in years. YHWH said to him, “You are old and advanced in years, and there remains yet very much land to be possessed.


YHWH gave them rest all around, according to all that he swore to their fathers. Not a man of all their enemies stood before them. YHWH delivered all their enemies into their hand.


Now YHWH y’all’s God has given y’all’s brothers rest as ʜᴇ promised to them. So now return and go to y’all’s tents, to the land of y’all’s possession, which Moses the servant of YHWH gave y’all beyond the Jordan.


Now, here is the king walking before y’all. I am old and gray and my sons are with y’all. I have walked before y’all from my youth to this day.
