Jonah 2:10

God said, “Let the land sprout vegetation: plants producing seeds and fruit trees bearing fruit with their kind of seeds, on the land.” And it was so.


God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to divide the day from the night, and let them be for signs to mark seasons, days, and years.


God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.


God made the expanse, and divided the waters which were under the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse, and it was so.


God said, “Let the waters under the sky be gathered together to one place, and let the dry ground appear.” And it was so.


Hᴇ spoke, and swarms of flies came, and lice in all their borders.


Hᴇ spoke, and the locusts came with the grasshoppers, without number.


The poor will eat and be satisfied. They will praise YHWH who seek after ʜɪᴍ. May y’all’s hearts live forever.


For ʜᴇ spoke, and it was done. Hᴇ commanded, and it stood firm.


YHWH will save me. Therefore we will sing my songs with stringed instruments all the days of our life in the house of YHWH.


I myself am YHWH. Besides me, there is no savior.


Why, when I came, was there no one? When I called, why was there no one to answer? Is my hand so short-short, that it cannot redeem? Or do I not have the power to deliver? Look, at my rebuke I dry up the sea. I make the rivers a wilderness. Their fish stink because there is no water, and die of thirst.


“Yet I have been YHWH your God since the land of Egypt. You are to acknowledge no god but me, and besides me there is no savior.


Assyria can’t save us. We won’t ride on horses; neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, ‘Our gods!’ for in you the fatherless finds mercy.”


YHWH appointed a massive fish to swallow up Jonah, and Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.


The word of YHWH came to Jonah a second time, saying,
